Etsy Offsite Ads Calculator
See exactly what an Offsite Ads sale costs you — 15% standard, 12% for shops with $10,000+ in trailing-12-month sales, capped at $100 per order — or find the price that covers it.
Estimated based on the assumptions you entered. Your actual fees may vary based on your Etsy account, country, payment setup, advertising participation, and transaction details.
How this calculation works
Compare With/Without Ads runs the same profit calculation as the flagship Profit Calculator twice at the same price — once with Offsite Ads off, once on — and shows both side by side. Find Price With Ads Enabled uses the same reverse solver as the Pricing Calculator's target-profit mode, with Offsite Ads switched on, so the solved price already accounts for the ad fee.
The Offsite Ads fee is 15% of your order total (item + shipping charged), or 12% if your shop has $10,000+ in trailing-12-month sales — but never more than $100 per order. Above roughly $667 (standard rate) or $833 (high-volume rate) in order value, the fee stops scaling and stays flat at $100. Both calculation modes here handle that cap exactly, because both call directly into Sellarithm's shared calculation engine — nothing about the cap is re-implemented on this page.
Fee assumptions
- $0.20 listing fee, charged per unit sold
- 6.5% transaction fee on your item price + shipping charged
- 3% + $0.25 payment processing fee (US Etsy Payments account)
- Offsite Ads fee: 15% standard / 12% for shops with $10,000+ in trailing-12-month sales, of item price + shipping charged, capped at $100 per order
This profile assumes a US-based Etsy Payments account and does not include Etsy Ads budget (a separate, seller-funded program from Offsite Ads), Etsy Plus subscription, currency conversion, sales tax, or refunds.
Example calculation
Uncapped: $40 item, $5 shipping charged, $10 product cost, $5 shipping cost, standard 15% rate.
| Metric | Without Ads | With Ads |
|---|---|---|
| Offsite Ads fee | $0.00 | $6.75 |
| Estimated net profit | $25.28 | $18.53 |
Capped: $800 item, no shipping, standard 15% rate — 15% of $800 would be $120, but the fee caps at $100.
| Order total (revenue) | $800.00 |
| Offsite Ads fee at 15% (uncapped) | $120.00 |
| Offsite Ads fee actually charged (capped) | $100.00 |
Tips for interpreting your result
- The $100 cap means Offsite Ads becomes proportionally cheaper on high-ticket items — a $2,000 sale still only pays $100, a 5% effective rate rather than 15%.
- You don't choose whether a specific sale is Offsite-Ads-attributed — Etsy decides that automatically, so use "Compare" to understand the range of outcomes rather than to predict any single sale.
- If "Find Price With Ads Enabled" shows a warning about the cap, it means your solved price sits above the threshold where the fee stops scaling — the price is still solved exactly, just via the capped branch of the formula.
